Terms of Service

1. The service

CulinHub provides a digital intelligence platform for South African restaurants. The core product is a Digital Twin — a continuously updated knowledge base representing your restaurant — together with an AI Advisor, review intelligence, and connected data sources.

By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you are signing up on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@culinhub.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not share your account credentials with others or create accounts on behalf of restaurants that have not authorised you to do so.

3. Subscriptions and billing

CulinHub offers paid subscription plans billed monthly in South African Rand (ZAR). Your chosen plan and current pricing are shown on the pricing page and in your account settings.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged using the payment method on file. We will notify you before any price increase takes effect.

Early Access members who join during The First Table period have their price locked for as long as their subscription remains active and uninterrupted.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will investigate.

If you cancel, you may request an export of your Twin data before your account is deleted. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Your data and your Twin

The facts in your Digital Twin belong to your restaurant. CulinHub does not claim ownership over any restaurant information you enter or that is retrieved on your behalf from connected sources.

You grant CulinHub a limited licence to store, process, and use your Twin data to operate the platform — including sending it to our AI provider to generate Advisor responses. This licence ends when you delete your account.

We do not use your proprietary restaurant data to train AI models or sell it to third parties.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use CulinHub to store or process information about restaurants you do not own or have authority to represent
• Attempt to access another restaurant's data
• Use the platform to generate content that is false, defamatory, or misleading
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the platform
• Use automated scripts to access the platform in ways that exceed normal usage

7. Third-party integrations

When you connect a third-party service (e.g. Google Business Profile), you are also subject to that service's terms and policies. CulinHub is not responsible for the accuracy or availability of data retrieved from third-party sources.

AI-generated responses from the Advisor are based on your Twin's verified data but may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing any content before publishing or acting on it.

8. Availability

We aim to keep CulinHub available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable during maintenance or due to circumstances outside our control.

We are not liable for losses caused by platform unavailability, including during load shedding or connectivity disruptions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, CulinHub's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the platform in a way that could harm other users or the platform itself. We will attempt to notify you before doing so unless the breach is severe.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of CulinHub after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
